At minutes from Chisec Alta Verapaz, Sepalau waits for you with four lagoons becoming two or one on the raining season. The place is absolutely famous for the way it attends its visitors. There you can eat fresh fish and local meals. The hunting is prohibited and managed by the community. The treks around the reserve are amazing filled with wildlife.
Lachua lagoon
Lachua is a natural reserve and protected area. The wildlife is all around. Getting there is an adventure itself and from the entrance you have to walk 4 kilometers to get to the camp. The water is crystalline filled with curious fishes that really, really get to you having no idea what or who you are... this is because they don't know aggression or fishing... so they are not afraid of playing around.
Bombil Pek
Chisec is a growing touristic region of Alta Verapaz with many different natural options to spend the weekend or vacations. Here you can find several cave systems very near one of the others. Bombil Pek and Jul Iq are the most famous. The first one requires you to get to the bottom of the cave using a long staircase system or rappelling 60+ meters.
