Guatemala

The modern City of Guatemala waits for you with a variety of accommodations, museums and natural destinations at only minutes.

Lake Amatitlan.
Lake Amatitlan is located at only 45 minutes from Guatemala City. Its been on recovery from the city pollution and the work is making good progress. Still is a touristic attraction and now even more having the cable railway service reestablished. The park at the highest part of "Filon de Amatitlan" offers great and cheap meals, great view over the lake and Pacaya Volcano, games for the kids and a giant chess board.

Pacaya Volcano.
Ever wanted to take a closer view of hot lava flow? Pacaya is one of Guatemala's active volcanoes, the other ones are Santiaguito and Fuego. But Pacaya is a peaceful and beautiful experience as you can get really close to the lava rivers with zero danger. Come and take a picture sitting next to the lava.
